As the weather is warming up, sunglasses are becoming more essential!

Protecting our eyes from harmful UV is important, however also remaining safe when driving with sunspec's is just as important.

With that in mind, we wanted to remind you of the legal requirements which come with sunglasses, and road safety - especially for drivers.

Sunglasses are rated by four categories:

  1. Light tint - perfect for low sunlight (not suitable for night driving)
  2. Medium tint - perfect for medium sunlight (not suitable for night driving)
  3. Dark tint - perfect for bright sunlight (not suitable for night driving)
  4. Exceptionally dark tint- for exceptionally bright sunlight - these are not suitable driving at all, in any conditions.

There are currently warnings going out to drivers to ensure the sun protection you are wearing is within the legal limits when it comes to the depth of the tint and driving.... if you are unsure please do pop into practice and we will be happy to help and give advice - to help save you from a hefty fine!
