Jenks Opticians is a family owned business, which has been providing the highest quality of innovative eye care to patients in Tamworth for more than 75 years.
Jenks Opticians is named after the original Optician of Potts and Partners, Stanley Jenks. His daughter Jenny Hulse followed in his footsteps until her retirement in 2004. It was then acquired by Jan and Helen Stoumann in partnership with Colin Lee Opticians.

Our emphasis on quality extends into every area of our service, from eye testing, helping you choose the right frame and spectacle lenses to suit your specific needs, then fitting and making your spectacles in our own labs. In recent years we have branched into new services to offer our patients the latest in Ophthalmic technology and eye care pathways;
Our practice is equipped with an OCT machine allowing us to take an MRI like image of behind the eye to detect pathology before it would present in a standard eye examination ideal for anyone who has a higher risk of developing eye conditions through family history or general health risk. Aswell as OCT we have a camera to take retinal photos for any patients and field screening machines which are used to detect the early signs of glaucoma.
We can also offer specialist Dry eye, Pre and post op Cataract services, Glaucoma monitoring, Orthoptic and minor eye conditions assessments which are usually only available through referral to hospital services or GP.
